Announced just today is MSI’s newest All-in-one Gaming PC, a successor to their last model the AG2712. Here is the MSI AG270. The model number really isn’t that different but the hardware inside has taken on quite a serious change. I hear a lot of people complain about All-in-one computers because you can’t upgrade a lot of the parts inside but for some people that is not a problem for them. An All-in-one is perfect for people who want a PC but don’t want a lot of cables or to take up a lot of space, which is pretty much a perfect Compact Gaming PC.
Here are the specs:
- 27″ 1920 x 1080 multi-touch display
- Intel i7-4860HQ (2.4Ghz – 3.6GHz) or Intel i7-4700HQ (2.4Ghz – 3.4Ghz)
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M 3GB or GeForce GTX 880M 8GB
- 2 x DDR3 SO-DIMM (Max 16GB)
- 2TB 7200RPM Hard drive
- 3 x mSATA SSD slots
- Killer DoubleShot Wireless-N
- DVD / Blu Ray Writer
- 2 x 5W Yamaha Speakers
- 26.5″ x 19″ x 2.6″ (w x h x d)
- 230W power supply
So as you can see it has some serious firepower. Some of the really cool features are the special screen they used which offers anti-glare protection and anti-flicker technology, which reduced eye fatigue with extended use. Also supporting reduced blue light. Which MSI claims paired with their ScenaMax image optimization software will reduce eye strain as well. Intel’s powerful i7 chip paired with the NVIDIA GTX GPU should play games really well on the displays 1080p resolution. Would have been nice to see a 2560×1440 pixel screen included but the 1080p should do just fine. The Yamaha speakers are another interesting spec. Including a built in amplifier the speakers should actually sound pretty good compared to regular all in one speakers.
